Week 31 - Parallel MD

 

Reminder 1: There should always be 1 cycle reserved for parallel studies in the PSB.

Reminder 2: During the week (if / when possible) the PSB and the PS will continue to work on the production of LHC75 in 1 batch.

 

Monday 27/07 (08:00 - 18:00) - Approaching the SPS working point close to the 1/2 or integer resonances

Beam conditions: SPS cycle = MD segment at 26 GeV/c (6 BP = 7.2 s), PS user = LHCINDIV and then LHC25 (12 bunches) and PSB user = LHCINDIV and then LHC25A (1 ring)

Nb = From ~ 1E10 p/b to ~ 5E10 p/b

PS dedicated MD

 

Thursday 30/07 (08:00 - 18:00) - Setup of the LSS6 TPSG

Beam conditions: SPS cycle = LHCFAST2, PS user = LHCPROBE and PSB user = LHCPROBE
