Week 36 - Parallel MD

Reminder 1: There should always be 1 cycle reserved for parallel studies in the PSB.

Reminder 2: During the week (when possible) the PS will continue to work on the Matrix measurements with the 5-CM PFWs.

Monday 01/09 and Wednesday 03/09 (08:00 - 18:00) - BBLR in the SPS

Beam conditions: SPS user = MD1 (supercycle = SFT_LONG-3CNGS-LHCFAST-MD37_V1), PS user = TSTLHC25 and PSB user = LHC25A

#bunches = 12

Nb » 0.2 x 1011 p/b (asked the PSB to load the archive with this lower intensity and the PS to check the beam in PS). Possibility to ask the PSB to increase the intensity.

Transverse emittances: e* £ 3 mm

Longitudinal emittance: eL* = 0.35 eV.s

Contact Person: F. Zimmermann

Tuesday 02/09

Beam off at 8:30.

Planned access to the PS from 9:00 to 11:00 in order to check on a KFA for the MTE. If needed, a second access will take place in the afternoon, from 14:30 to 17:00 (including the 30' cool down required by RP after the beam stop)

Wednesday 03/09 (08:00 - 18:00) and Thursday 04/09 (08:00 - 18:00) - Transverse feedback in the PS

Beam conditions: PS user = MDPS and PSB user = TSTPS

Low-intensity SFTPRO-like beam (the intensity can be reduced by lowering the number of injected turns in the PSB)

Contact Person: F. Blas
