Week 27 - Parallel MD

Reminder 1: There should always be 1 cycle reserved for parallel studies in the PSB.

Reminder 2: During the week (if / when possible) the PSB (and then the PS) will work on the production of LHC75/LHC50 in 1 batch.

 

Monday 29/06 (08:00 - 18:00) - Check that the MD3 beam in the PSB (to be used for SPS impedance measurements) is ready => It is the same as last year

Beam conditions: PSB user = MD3

#bunches = 1

Nb = Scan from ~5E9 p/b to ~ 1E11 p/b

Transverse emittances: e* ~ 1 microm (we take what the PSB can deliver => Will vary with the vertical shaving)

Longitudinal emittance: eL* ~ 0.15 eVs

Tuesday 30/06 (08:00 - 18:00) - Check that the MD4 beam in the PS (to be used for SPS impedance measurements) is ready => It is the same as last year
