Reminder 1: There should always be 1 cycle reserved for parallel studies in the PSB and PS.

Reminder 2: Continue the detailed campaign of measurements of transverse beam profiles in the SPS with all the BWS available (416, 519, 521 and 414V).

 

Monday 19/10 (08:00 - 18:00)

PS(&SPS) ion commissioning (setting-up in // of the early ion beam)

Beam conditions: SPS cycle = SFTLONG1 + 4 CNGS1 + LHCION1, PS user = LHCION (MDION is reserved for the nominal beam) and LEIR user = EARLY

SPS user Timing = LHCION1 (LHCION2 is reserved for the dedicated MD)

Instability studies at PS transition (if available cycle, as ions have priority)

Beam conditions: PS user = MD3 and PSB user = TSTPS (ring 2)

Tuesday 20/10 (08:00 - 16:00)

Wednesday 21/10 (08:00 - 12:00) and Thursday 22/10 (08:00 - 12:00) - Validation tests of YASP on high energy orbit corrections in PS with beam

Beam conditions: PS user = 2 BP LHC-type cycle (such as TSTPS)

Check beams which will be required for the LHC Injection Test during the week-end
