SPS MDs

Monday 23/05 - Tuesday 24/05

MD title: Dependence of fBCT on bunch length and position
Beam conditions: single bunch on flat MD1 cycle MD26_L7200_V1

Additional remarks: 10 acquisitions (averaging) per position = 400ms and that at ~ 10 different position -20mm to +20mm in 5mm steps. Measurements to be done also with different bunch lengths.

 

When possible, a couple of hours should be devoted to the following check:

Transverse emittance measurements with 4 batches of 25ns beam
Beam conditions: 4 batches of 25ns beam with nominal intensity per bunch (1.2e11)

Beam conditions: 50ns type beam, but with 4 Booster rings and with final bunch spacing adjusted to h=9 in the PS (and not h=7, like the present LHC beams)
