Week 48 - Dedicated SPS MD
Wednesday 26/11/2014

Wednesday 06h00-10h00

Supercycle: MD_25.92_55_270_2014_V1 (22bp)
N.b. During the MD with coasting beam, the length of the supercycle must strictly be kept at 22bp
N.b.2 72 bunches of 25 ns beam (1.1e11 p/b) is the absolute maximum that can be injected on a coasting cycle!

MD title: Sponge material tests (following UA9)
Beam conditions: single coastable bunch (270 GeV)
Cycle: MD_25.92_55_270_2014_V1, 22bp

PSB user =   LHC2A (LHC25_DB_A_PSB) + LHC2B (LHC25_DB_B_PSB)
PS user = LHC1 (LHC25#72b)
SPS user = LHCMD2 (pulsed), COAST2 (coast)

Contact People: S. Montesano, W. Scandale

Additional remarks:

From 10:00 to 18:00, the global tests of the North Area ion interlock (T. Hakulinen, D. Manglunki) will take place. This will be transpatent to the MD planned in the same time slot.

Wednesday 10:00 to 18:00
